Christmas at Crossroads spreads holiday magic

MT. MORRIS — One of Genesee County’s most anticipated Christmastime attractions is back with a trainload of excitement this holiday season at historic Crossroads Village.

Christmas at Crossroads Holiday Magic, which kicked off Thanksgiving weekend, will roll on with enchanting train rides on the Huckleberry Railroad and exciting light displays all month long. The village will be open to visitors for Christmas at Crossroads on Dec. 2-4, 9-11, 16-18, 21-23 and 28-30 from 4-9 p.m.

As in years past, Crossroads Village will offer Christmas drive through only nights on Dec. 5, 12, 19, 24 and 26 from 5-9 p.m. The entry cost will be $10 per vehicle. All ticket sales will end at 8:30 p.m.

On regular Holiday Magic nights, village-goers can hop on the evening train and take a scenic tour of the Huckleberry Railroad or view a showing of “Frosty Follies” at the Colwell Opera House. Thousands of lights and numerous Christmas displays are also up for display across the 19th century themed village, including traditional 12 Days of Christmas figures along the eastern loop of the railway.

Families can also meet the Grinch, wave to Santa Claus along the railway, watch village artisans make vintage crafts and partake in a Christmas dinner buffet at the Mill Street Warehouse. Seating for the buffet starts at 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on select weekdays and 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on select weekends. Reservations are suggested but walk-ins will be accepted, based on availability.
