Genesee County Fair coming Aug. 20-26

GENESEE TWP. — The Genesee County Fair returns to the E.A. Cummings Center, 6130 E. Mt. Morris Rd., Aug. 20-26 with a full line-up at the grandstand and much to do for the whole family.

The fair will offer attractions daily, including Chase’s Racing and Swimming Pigs, the baby animal tent, Pure Pro Wrestling, the Mid American Shows Spectacular Midway, sheep shearing demonstrations, the petting zoo, Redneck Games, wagon rides, bingo and agricultural, horticultural, arts and science exhibits.

On Aug. 20, Kid’s Day, there will be a Monster Truck Show at the grandstand, sponsored by Tiger Salvage, at 7 p.m.

It’s Senior Citizen Day on Aug. 21. Senior citizens park for free before 5 p.m. At the grandstand will be the Figure Eight-Demolition Derby at 7 p.m.

Farm Bureau Day is Aug. 22 with free parking before 5 p.m. with a ticket from a participating Farm Bureau Agency. At the grandstand that evening will be Granger Smith, Earl Dibbles, Jr., and Audrey Ray at 7 p.m.

Aug. 23 is Union Day. Free parking before 5 p.m. with a ticket from your participating Union Local. At the grandstand will be Craig Campbell with Tweed & Dixie at 7 p.m.

On Aug. 24 its Armed Services Day with free parking before 5 p.m. with a valid military ID. The concert at the grandstand is All That Remains with special guests Westfall, at 7 p.m.

Aug. 25 is the Al Serra sponsored Rodeo at 7 p.m. in the grandstand, while Rev. Right Time & The 1st Cuzins of Funk perform in the Biergarten at 9 p.m.

The fair wraps up Aug. 26 with the Flint New Holland Truck & Tractor Pull at 5 p.m. Sam’s Club Pet Adoption at 10 a.m. and the Western Speed & Action Horse Show at 9 a.m. There will also be a 4-H Small Animal Livestock Auction that day.
