Men sought for fraud

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Aug. 6 at 11:22 a.m., officers responded to a report of fraud in the 6100 block of S. Saginaw Road. Upon arrival, the manager reported five people arrived at the store in a Dodge charger, per video evidence and then split up and purchased several vacuum cleaners using $800 in fake $20 bills. They then attempted to return the merchandise for refunds of actual money at the Clio Walmart, where they were unsuccessful, and the Burton Walmart, where they were successful. They are being sought and anyone with information may contact the Grand Blanc Township Police Department at 810-424-2611 as the incident is under further investigation. — P.S.

Man refuses blood alcohol testing

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Aug. 4 at 1:14 a.m., officers on patrol observed a 61-year-old Grand Blanc male in the 5300 block of Belsay Road who was traveling over the fog line multiple times. The driver said he had been reaching for something on the floor of the car, but smelled of intoxicants, had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. The suspect said he had two beers 30 minutes prior, failed field sobriety tests and refused blood alcohol testing on the Preliminary Breath Test and additional Blood Alcohol Level testing, resulting in a warrant being issued for his blood which was processed at the Genesee County jail on suspicion of Operating While Intoxicated and where he was lodged until sober. — P.S.

Champagne thieves sought

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Aug. 5 at approximately 4 p.m., officers were called to the 6100 S. Saginaw Road for a report of Retail Fraud. Loss Prevention officers said they found video evidence of two females in their mid-30’s who entered the store, proceeded to the liquor area and selected four bottles of champagne, then moved to the back of the store and concealed them in their purse. They also observed video of the two suspects repeating the process the following day, resulting in a loss of $687 worth of merchandise to the store. They are being sought and anyone with information may contact the Grand Blanc Township Police Department at 810-424-2611 as the incident is under further investigation. — P.S.
