Business defrauded by Ecorse resident

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On June 4 at approximately 8:40 a.m., officers responded to a report of fraud in the 1500 block of Hill Road where a store manager reported a 25-year-old Ecorse male had ordered multiple meat cuts and expensive liquors over the phone using a credit card, and said he would have his son pick it up when the order came in. A male picked up the order and was identified, but the business owner was notified by email the next day the American Express card was fraudulent. The incident is pending further investigation. — P.S.

High BAC driver arrested

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On June 4 at 1:59 a.m., dispatch officials advised officers on patrol to be on the lookout for a suspected drunk driver in a black or red Jeep. An officer observed a possible match exiting I-75 at Holly Road and followed, observing the 42-year-old Livonia female using a right turn signal while in the left turn lane, and executing the turn on a full red signal. A traffic stop was conducted at which time the officer found the suspect to be dazed and confused, and had bloodshot, watery eyes. She said she had been drinking beer ‘earlier’ and failed field sobriety tests, scoring a .23 on the Preliminary Breath Test. She was arrested on suspicion of Operating Under the Influence and processed. She submitted to additional Blood Alcohol Content testing and scored a .21 and .19 and was lodged in the Genesee County jail. — P.S.

Parolee arrested

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On June 3 at 4:47 p.m. in the area of S. Dort Highway and Maple Road, an officer on patrol was passed by

40-year-old Burton male in a Chevy Trailblazer and noted it had no rear brake lights or turn signals. He initiated a traffic stop and the driver said it was due to a reoccurring fuse problem. The driver was found to have no operator’s license and was arrested. He consented to a search of his vehicle which turned up an unknown white powder on the drives floor, a piece of an ink pen with white powder residue, a scale and razor blade, a flashlight containing two small bags of marijuana and a small bag of suspected crack cocaine. He was pending charges of Possession of Controlled Substances and Drug Paraphernalia and his parole office was advised he was lodged in the Genesee County jail pending arraignment. — P.S.
