Goodrich soccer shuts out Corunna

Duval was joined by Cami Rossell, who had two, while Morgan Kosik and Jess Velazquez both scored once. Velazquez, Rossell and Hannah Durant all finished with two assists apiece. Kosik and Bailey Cramer both had one. Alexis Pocza earned the shutout.

Last Thursday, Goodrich had its five-game win streak snapped following a 3-1 loss at Montrose. Duval recorded the Lady Martians’ lone goal.

Goodrich is at Flushing today at 4:30 p.m. and will host Almont on Tuesday. – A.V.

GRAND BLANC: The Lady Bobcats defeated Hartland 5-1 on the road Tuesday night. Faith Webber found the net first on a volley from teammate Morgan Jewell. Ashton Cassel scored the next two goals, giving Grand Blanc a 3-0 lead. Cassel’s first goal was assisted by Faith Webber, and the second was on a free kick. Paige Webber scored just before halftime on a pass from Jenna Blackburn. Faith Webber added another insurance goal early in the second half, giving the Lady Bobcats a 5-0 advantage, before Hartland found the back of the net with about three minutes remaining.

Grand Blanc also dominated Wayne Memorial 8-0 at home last Thursday. No stats for were reported in time for press deadlines.

The Lady Bobcats, 12-1 overall and 8-1 in the KLAA, host Howell tonight. — J.O.
