Team of thieves arrested

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Feb. 16 at approximately 6:29 p.m., officers were called to the 6100 block of S. Saginaw, where a 25-year-old Flint female, 19-year-old Flint female, and 23-yearold Mt. Morris female were suspected of Retail Fraud. Loss Prevention flagged down officers on their arrival and pointed out the suspects in the parking lot. They later told officers the females had been observed in the store, picking out two blenders, one which they took directly to customer service to process as a return, for which they received an in-store gift card. They then bought several items using the fraudulently obtained card and attempted to leave the store. Two of the females had warrants and the other had a suspended license. Two were arrested and lodged in the Flint City Jail. — P.S.

Man arrested with knife

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Feb. 16 at 9:52 p.m. officers working the Office of Highway Safety Patrol grant observed a Chevrolet Blazer with a broken tail light in the 4500 block of S. Saginaw. The driver, a 49-year-old Flint male was found to have a revoked license and warrants and was arrested. A vehicle search turned up a more than seven-inch knife with a 3.5-inch blade in the center console. He was arrested and faces possible charges on the license issue and carrying a concealed weapon. — P.S.

Driver lodged for OWI

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Feb. 19 at 9:52 p.m., in the area of S. Dort Highway and Maple Road officers observed a tan GMC Yukon travel through a flashing red light without stopping. They made a traffic stop and asked the driver, a 25-year-old Flint male, to smell strongly of the odor of intoxicants and who admitted to having two beers about 30 minutes prior. Field sobriety tests were administered and failed, and he refused the Preliminary Breath Test. Additional Blood Alcohol Level testing scored two consecutive scores of .17. The vehicle was searched and found approximately 4.6 grams of marijuana in a plastic baggie in the glove box. He was charged with Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) and lodged in the Flint City Jail. — P.S.
