Bobcats pick up two wins

HARTLAND – The Grand Blanc boys’ swim and dive team won a pair of meets over the last week with its most recent win coming over Hartland, 107-76, last Thursday.

The Bobcats began the day with a win in the 200-medley relay with Jonah Curtis, Alex Levashkevich, Griffin Curtis and Jarod Williams finishing in 1:44.90. Carson McDaniel, Devon Bryant, Harrison Adams and Max Schaffer were third in 1:47.32. In the 200-freestyle, Michael Harding was second in 1:55.90, Bryant was third in 1:58.97 and Levashkevich fourth in 2:07.67.

Griffin Curtis won the 200-IM in 2:07.83 while Leif Massey was fourth in 2:19.5. Schaffer was third in the 50-freestyle in 23.58, while Nicholas Villarin was fourth in 24.23. In the 1-meter diving, Logan Martin-Nagy was second with 174.85 points. Adams secured second in the 100-butterfly in 57.72 while Villarin was third in 59.33.

In the 100-freestyle, Williams was second in 52.92 while Bryant was third in 53.68. The Bobcats then swept the top-three spots in the 500-freestyle with Griffin Curtis first in 5:19.89, Schaffer second in 5:28.30 and Wyatt Halstead third in 5:39.21. In the 200-freestyle relay, Griffin and Jonah Curtis, Schaffer and Williams were second in 1:34.98 while Levashkevich, Harding, Adams and Villarin were third in 1:37.85.

In the 100-backstroke, McDaniel was second in 59.77, Harding third in 1:01.24 and Jacob Whitmore fourth in 1:02.10. In the 100-breaststroke, Tyler Mather was first in 1:05.88, Massey second in 1:08.15 and Garren Cooper third in 1:13.53. In the 400-freestyle relay, Jonah, Griffin Curtis, Bryant and Williams was first in 3:30.91 while Levashkevich, Kosmanopoulos, Adams and Harding were second in 3:38.27.

Last Tuesday, the Bobcats defeated Fenton and Flint Powers Catholic in a double-dual, defeating Powers 100-74 and Fenton 99.5-77.5.

In the 200-medley relay, Griffin Curtis, Levashkevich, Adams and Williams were second in 1:43.85. Griffin Curtis’ won in the 200-freestyle, finish- ing in 1:55.58. Harding was third in 1:57.66 and McDaniel was fourth in 1:58.85.

In the 200-IM, Jonah Curtis was second in 2:05.84 while Kosmanopoulos was fifth in 2:14.27. Schaffer was second in the 50-free in 24.37. Williams was third in 24.68 and Tyler Mather followed in fifth in 24.92. In the 1-meter diving, Logan Martin-Nagy was third with 164.70 points.

The 100-fly saw Adams take second in 58.06, while Nicholas Villarin was fourth in 59.63. Jonah Curtis was second in the 100-freestyle and Levashkevich fifth in 54.12. In the 500-free, Griffin Curtis took second in 5:11.26, while Harding was fourth in 5:35.98 and Wyatt Halstead fifth in 5:45.02. The 200-freestyle relay team of Kosmanopoulos, Garren Cooper, Reed Bearden and Evan Peel secured third in 1:37.25.

In the 100-backstroke, McDaniel secured first in 1:00.32 while Peel tied for fourth in 1:05.4 with Fenton. Levashkevich took third in the 100-breaststroke in 1:03.50 and the 400-free relay team of Jonah Curtis, Schaffer, Williams and Griffin Curtis finished first in 3:26.78.

Grand Blanc hosts Northville today at 6 p.m.
