Al Serra Auto Plaza number one in the nation for GM used car sales

GRAND BLANC — Back at the end of 2016, the Al Serra Used Vehicle Center at the Al Serra Auto Plaza in Grand Blanc finished #2 in the country for General Motors Certified used vehicle sales behind Karl Chevrolet in Des Moines, Iowa.

As it turned out this year, the team at Al Serra discovered for themselves that there is a lot of truth to the old adage, “When you’re #2, you try harder.”

“When we were informed this week that we were tops in the entire nation for GM Certified Used Vehicle Sales in 2017, we were all absolutely thrilled,” says Matt Serra, Executive Manager of the Al Serra Auto Plaza. “Our Used Vehicle Managers, Ed Rykulski, Glen Willhelm, Nate Cottrill and Mike Majerowicz, along a group of dedicated sales associates, were completely focused all year long on achieving that Number One Ranking and they went out and made it happen!”

According to Serra, the team concept of putting the customer first was put into practice when his grandfather first opened the doors at Al Serra Chevrolet in Grand Blanc back in 1973. It’s a tradition that was taken to the next level by his father, Joe Serra, and now the torch has been passed to a third Serra generation.

“The fact that more people buy from the Al Serra Auto Plaza than from any one else in Michigan speaks volumes about our commitment to doing things the right way,” admits Serra. “And as great as we feel right now, we realize we need to keep looking for ways to learn, grow and improve. Our customers deserve our absolute best effort!”

The Al Serra Used Vehicle Center is located on the corner of South Saginaw and Hill Road in Grand Blanc and is part of the Al Serra Auto Plaza. Franchises on the Auto Plaza campus include Al Serra Chevrolet, Al Serra Buick GMC, Al Serra Cadillac, Al Serra Chrysler-Dodge- Jeep-Ram, Honda of Grand Blanc, Kia of Grand Blanc, Subaru of Grand Blanc and Volkswagen of Grand Blanc. — G.G.
