The battle of two different styles was intriguing, but in the end, it played in the favor of Goodrich’s speed and talent.

“They like to slow down and we like to speed up, so we got going pretty good,” said coach Gary Barns. “At halftime we were up 23-16 and in the third quarter we outscored them 16-5. In the fourth quarter it was 12-8. I emptied the bench; I dressed 12 kids and they all played. We had balanced scoring today.”

Latrell Fordham put up 11 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals, Kevin-David Rice came through for 10 points, four steals and three boards and Tyson Davis added 12 points, four steals and three assists.

David Stoner had six points and two key rebounds, Colby Wiggins scored three points, Matai Swain and Nick Waterworth each had two and Mason Vitale one.
