Students raise $1,000 for War Dogs Memorial

Michigan War Dog Memorial President Phil Weitlauf is presented a check for $1,000 which was raised by the eighth-grade students at West Middle School. As part of the Positivity Project, several students chose to commit to a service project representing bravery, and the ‘pay to participate’ fundraiser allowed students who donated $2 to wear a costume to school (for the first time ever at WMS). Local K-9 handlers and representatives from the Positivity Project (PP), Jeff Bryan and Indian Hill Principal Jeremy Mitchell, were on hand as well for the festivities. More information on the War Dog Memorial is available at www.mwdm.org. See page 3 for more photos.
