Blood Drive

BURTON — A Red Cross blood drive will be held from noon to 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at

Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2051 W. Maple Ave. Individuals 17 years and older who are in good health may donate blood. Appointments may be made by calling 1-800-733-2767 or visit redcrossblood.org with sponsor code Lamb. — P.S.

Postcard collectors event

GRAND BLANC — The Grand Blanc Heritage Association museum, 203 E. Grand Blanc Road, will host Don Wilson of the Flushing Historical Society with a presentation on Postcard Collecting, at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Goodrich Homecoming festivities

GOODRICH —The Goodrich Community School district will celebrate homecoming as follows: Monday Sept. 25th: Freshmen/ Sophomore Powderpuff at 6 p.m., Junior/Senior Powderpuff at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday Sept. 27th, Spirit Night at the athletic field at 7 p.m., Friday Sept. 29th at approximately 12:45 p.m. district-wide Pep Assembly at athletic field (weather permitting if rain, at high school gym, just high school). Parade begins at 5 p.m. in downtown Goodrich and runs along Hegel Road to the High School; homecoming court crowning at game at halftime. Saturday Sept. 30th: Dance 7-10 p.m. at the High School. — P.S.

Bounce in the Park

GOODRICH —The Parks and Recreation Department invites residents to a day of family fun at the inaugural Bounce in the Park, from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 (rain date Oct. 1). Dragons 101

GRAND BLANC —The Grand Blanc- McFarlen Library, 515 Perry Road, will present Dragons 101 at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept.30. Join dragon-loving librarian Alger Newberry for stories and discussion, and take home two original craft projects. For more information call 810-694-5310. — P.S.
