Flint School of Performing Arts Faculty Concert

FLINT — The Flint School of Performing Arts Faculty Concert Series continues its spring 2017 run with a performance by Dr. Tigran Shiganyan on March 17, at 7p.m., inside the Flint Institute of Music’s MacArthur Recital Hall, located at 1025 E. Kearsley Street, Flint.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and seating is available on a first come, first served basis. The performance is sponsored by Tonya Ketzler.

Dr. Tigran Shiganyan has won many awards throughout his musical career including three prizes in the International Violin Competition in 1993 in Almaty, Kazakhstan and second prize at the 33rd William C. Byrd International Young Artists Competition in Flint in 2004. He has performed professionally with the Pittsburgh Opera Theater, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater and the Lansing Symphony Orchestra.

The Faculty Concert Series continues through spring 2017, with upcoming performances by David Lindsey (April 28) and Terrence Newman (May 12). All concerts are free and open to the public, and are held on Friday evenings at 7p.m. at the Flint Institute of Music’s MacArthur Recital Hall.
