Man arrested on OWI charge
MUNDY TWP. — Metro Police Authority officers arrested a 51-year-old Fenton man who said he fell asleep while driving home from the Autumn Lounge. The man crashed his truck into a condominium early March 5 at approximately 4 a.m. in Mundy Township on Timber Ridge Drive near Fenton and Baldwin roads. Police had to enter the front door of the home to make contact with the driver, whose vehicle was in the living room and was still in the vehicle, according to reports. He was arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and suffered minor injuries. No on inside the home was injured. — L.R.
Cigarette lands man in ‘drunk tank’
GRAND BLANC TWP. — On March 12 at 9:43 p.m., officers on traffic patrol observed a 54-year-old Grand Blanc male drive past them in the 2500 block of E. Maple Avenue and then stop in the roadway but not at the stop light. They observed him fishing around in his vehicle and went to see if they could assist him. The male said he had dropped a lit cigarette and was trying to find it. The officers noted he smelled of intoxicants and that the front of his pants were wet. He failed field sobriety tests and admitted he had been drinking at more than one local tavern. He blew a .13 on the Preliminary Breath Test and then asked to contact his attorney who he left a message for. He scored a .14 on the secondary breath test and his license was confiscated and destroyed. He was lodged in the Genesee County jail for Driving Under the Influence. — P.S.
Car theft investigated
GRAND BLANC TWP. — On March 13 at 8:30 a.m., officers were called to the 6200 block of S. Saginaw Road for a report of a stolen vehicle. A local auto business reported that sometime between March 9-10 a Cadillac that was a lease turn in and was located in the service bay without a license plate, but with the keys inside was stolen. The auto was entered into the theft alert system. There are no suspects and the incident is pending further investigation. — P.S.
Broken window suspect sought
GRAND BLANC TWP. — On March 14, at approximately 4:53 a.m., officers were called to the 6000 block of Westknoll where a 43-year-old Grand Blanc male reported someone had thrown a rock through his second floor window into his dining room. He showed officers tracks in the snow from the parking are to his window but said he was sleeping when it happened and didn’t even hear anything and doesn’t know who would have done it. There are no suspects and the incident is pending further investigation. — P.S.
