Help FISH provide for less fortunate

GRAND BLANC — The annual “Stuff the Bus” event will be held this Saturday, Nov. 19 in the high school parking lot, 11920 S. Saginaw St. FISH food pantry provides for the less fortunate in Grand Blanc and will be collecting donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries, hygiene, paper and laundry products. They will be there from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — P.S.

Serra Santa Run coming

FLINT — Al Serra Auto Plaza is sponsoring the ‘Santa Run’ in Flint on Dec. 3 at noon! This fun and entertaining 5K is a wonderful charity event for families and the casual walker or runner. A 5-piece Santa Suit is included in your registration fee and it is asked that each participant wear the suit on the day of the event. This event raises money for the YMCA of Greater Flint scholarship assistance program and provides assistance to youth and families in our community. Harry Potter party

GOODRICH — The Goodrich Library, 10237 Hegel Rd., will host a Harry Potter Party on Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to dress up. Guests will enjoy snacks, games, and a chance to win a cool prize by entering the Goblet of Fire drawing. — P.S.

8th annual Turkey Trot

GRAND BLANC — The Grand Blanc Running Peeps, a local running group, will host the Eighth annual Turkey Trot, sponsored by William E. Walter Inc. contracting. The race will be held Thursday, Nov. 22 at 8 a.m. at Leo’s Coney Island, 6238 Saginaw Rd. (in front of Staples). This is a 5K fun run, non-timed event with proceeds to be donated to local charities. Christmas at the museum

GRAND BLANC — The public is invited to the Grand Blanc Heritage Museum’s annual Christmas At The Museum celebration Monday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. with a program of Christmas and patriotic music featuring area performers, sing-alongs and Christmas messages beginning at 7 p.m. An afterglow with light refreshments will follow in the lower level. Admission is by a contribution of foodstuffs, paper goods, or a financial donation to FISH, Grand Blanc’s food and relief pantry.
