Cars broken into at Genesys

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Dec. 10, at 5:20 p.m., officers were called to the 800 block of Health Park Blvd for a report of a Vehicle Larceny. According to officers, two larcenies occurred, one to a 45-year-old Grand Blanc woman, and also a 36-year-old Grand Blanc woman who parked on the southwest side of the building. They both lost a bag containing various personal items, including credit cards and identification as well as other miscellaneous items. The Police Department reminds residents to not leave valuables in cars, even when locked, and if you have any information regarding this crime to call them at 810- 424-2611. — P.S.

Man passes out at bar, gun confiscated

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Dec. 10, at approximately 2:01 a.m., officers were called to the 3000 block of E. Grand Blanc Rd. regarding a 22-year-old Grand Blanc male who was being disorderly; and had passed out at a local bar. He was questioned and asked if someone could pick him up and as officers walked out to the parking lot with him, he was obviously having difficulty walking and exhibited a strong odor of alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests and refused to take a Preliminary Breath Test. When he was being patted down for the safety of the officers, a gun was found in his waistband, for which he had a Concealed Pistol License (CPL). It being illegal to drink while carrying a concealed weapon, it was confiscated for his safety and he was arrested and a warrant was issued for a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) test. He was lodged in the Genesee County Jail. — P.S.

Woman cited, jailed for retail fraud

GRAND BLANC TWP. — On Dec.13,, at 12:24 p.m., a 23-year-old Flint female was arrested in the 6100 block of S. Saginaw for Retail Fraud. According to Loss Prevention officers, she went to the lay away department and paid for toys and then took the cart with the box of toys to the toy department and added more items. She was stopped at the entrance and as she could not provide a receipt for the additional items, was secured in the store. She admitted to taking the other toys because she said the children’s father was not helping her with Christmas. She was arrested and lodged in the Genesee County jail. — P.S.
