Bagger Dave’s opens on Trillium Circle Ave.

GRAND BLANC — Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern, a full-service, casual restaurant and bar, marked the grand opening of its Grand Blanc location at 8235 Trillium Circle Ave. on Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. The celebration followed an invitation-only VIP Grand Opening Party on Friday, Nov. 21 and Friends and Family Day on Nov. 22.

The Grand Blanc restaurant will be the first of a new prototype building, and according to Assistant Manager Tim Loesel, freestanding instead of in a mall location with an open, custom designed railroad car look. Other managers who will be at the location include Managing Partners Clay Jones and Steven Brittain, Assistant Managers Jessica Ratliff and Josh Valentin.

Approximately 80 other local employees will be hired to fill positions at the restaurant. The 4,427-sq. ft. ‘modern’ tavern will seat nearly 170 patrons, features an all-seasons patio sun room and a more concise layout and entry with hip roofs. Décor also includes a lattice wall with planting and ivy at the secondary north entrance.

“Guests will enjoy our warm, welcoming neighborhood atmosphere and small decorative touches such as art work reflecting the history of Grand Blanc and signature electric train running through the main dining room and bar,” said Michael Ansley, president and CEO of Bagger Dave’s. “We are looking forward to unveiling our new design in Grand Blanc, our first location in the Flint/Tri Cities region.”

At Bagger Dave’s, patrons can create their own hand-crafted, fresh and never-frozen prime rib recipe, hormone free grilled chicken, all-natural turkey or veggie black bean burger with a choice of 19 Meaningless Free Toppings ® and six premium toppings, including seven cheese choices, custom made sauces, a variety of artisan buns and more.

A selection of Signature Burgers also are available, including the Chicken Sriracha (seven-ounce grilled chicken with Swiss cheese, lettuce, pickles and tomatoes with Bagger Dave’s® Creamy Sriracha sauce on a toasted sesame bun) and the Train Wreck Burger® (Fresh- Cut Potato Fries, fried egg, cheddar, sautéed onions, lettuce and mushrooms, and Railhouse Thousand Island™ on a toasted sesame bun).

Diners can enjoy local bottle and draft beers, wine, craft bourbons, signature drinks and adult shakes at the full bar, as well as seasonal dishes and side items. Bagger Dave’s, founded in 2008, has identified a niche in the burger business with a modern interpretation of the old-fashioned neighborhood bar. Several new locations in Michigan and Indiana will debut by the end of the year. Currently, there are 14 restaurants in Michigan and eight in Indiana.
