Man caught smoking pot in RV

GRAND BLANC TWP. — A violation of the township’s mobile home ordinance led to one Flint man being cited for a violation of a controlled substance abuse. At 7:02 p.m. on Nov. 19, police noticed a mobile home parked in the driveway of a home in the 8000 block of Holly Road. Township ordinances prohibit the parking of mobile homes in the driveway and officers went to make contact with the homeowners to notify them of the violation. According to the police report, the lights in the mobile home were on and the officer looked inside and noticed a man smoking what looked like marijuana. Officers knocked on the door and the 48-year-old Grand Blanc man answered and told police he would be moving the mobile home to a storage facility in two days. When questioned about having possible marijuana in the mobile home, the man denied the claims. Officers then told the man they observed him smoking something through the window and the man confessed to having smoked marijuana and permitted a search of the mobile home. Police found .99 grams of marijuana in the mobile home. The man was cited and released.

Man charged with carrying a concealed weapon

GRAND BLANC TWP. — Police arrested an 18- year-old Flint man on charges of carrying a concealed weapon on Nov. 20. Police pulled the suspect over at 1:28 a.m. at the corner of Maple and Fenton roads after his license plate number showed no title information in the system. Upon making contact with the suspect, police found he was driving without a license and had two misdemeanor warrants out for his arrest for driving

without a license. Police arrested the man on the two warrants and for driving without a license. While searching the vehicle, police found two boxes of .22 caliber ammunition, a .22 caliber beretta handgun, a .22 caliber Harrington and Richardson five-shot revolver. Also during the search, police found seven bags of heroin totaling .90 grams and one bag of 1.47 grams of crack cocaine. The man told police he was selling the drugs to make money. The man was arrested and lodged at the Genesee County Jail on the weapons charges.

Man arrested for assault

GRAND BLANC TWP. — A 51-year-old Grand Blanc man was arrested for assault after pushing his girlfriend following an argument on her drug addiction. Police were dispatched to Knollwood Apartments at 3:53 a.m. on Nov. 20 for disorderly conduct. When police arrived, they made contact with the 31-year-old Flint woman who told police she and her boyfriend of three weeks had been out partying that night. Upon returning, the woman told police the man began smoking crack cocaine. When she confronted him he referenced her heroin addiction. The woman told police she went to bed, but that the man pushed her and came in demanding she return the clothes she was wearing since he bought them for her to wear that night. She told police she went into the bathroom and changed clothes before calling police. In a search of the apartment, police found an empty bottle of Xanax and a small bag containing heroin. The woman admitted the drugs were hers. The woman was placed under arrest for possession of drugs and transported to Genesys Regional Medical Center after going in and out of consciousness in the backseat of the patrol car.
