Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

GRAND BLANC TWP. — A Grand Blanc resident was arrested for possession with intent to deliver. The 24-year old man was stopped by police for an equipment violation on his vehicle at about 1:18 a.m. on Dec. 7 in the 6000 block of Dort. When police searched the man and his vehicle, they found 9.6 grams of crack cocaine on him.

Package taken from porch

GRAND BLANC TWP. — A package was stolen off of a porch in Thornridge Apartment Complex in Grand Blanc on Dec. 8.

The man contacted police stating that sometimes between noon and 4 p.m. an American Girl package, worth about $130, had been stolen. He told police he had contacted the United States Postal Service after noticing the package had not arrived. The UPS worker told the man that they had delivered the package and left it on the porch because it was thought to be a secure spot.

Police do not have a suspect at this time but are still investigating the case.

Man arrested for breaking and entering

GRAND BLANC TWP. — Police were called to the Homestead Place on Dec. 9 for a breaking and entering in progress.

When police arrived on the scene at about 1:44 a.m., they noticed a screen from a window had been removed and footprints on the ground. Police followed the footprints which led them to the suspect, a 21-year-old Grand Blanc man.

The man was lodged at the Genesee County Jail and arraigned on charges for breaking and entering.
