GRAND BLANC TWP. — Police arrested a township woman, 50, three times in the course of just a few days, following separate incidents at her apartment complex last week.

Police were initially dispatched to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Kettering Heights Aug. 14 for a breaking and entering complaint. Police were told by a male that he caught his neighbor breaking into his apartment, from which she reportedly stole a microwave, kitchen utensils, a handbag, nine eggs and a quart of milk, valued at $100 in total, indicated Grand Blanc Township Police Department officials.

Police recovered the stolen items from the woman’s apartment. She said that the kitchen utensils didn’t belong to the victim and indicated she was taking them back, said police. She was arrested on charges of breaking and entering and later lodged in the GCJ that same day.

However, police were called back to the apartment complex following an anonymous complaint of a woman smoking marijuana in the building’s laundry facility on Aug. 16.

Police encountered the same woman again, who told the officers she “had a rough week” because of a recent felony charge and various medical issues. She admitted to smoking pot in the laundry room and police found a box containing drug paraphernalia and marijuana in her apartment in open view.
The contents were confiscated and the lady was cited and released at the scene.

The next day, police were summoned back to the apartment complex yet again, this time for a fight in progress.

Once at the scene, police found the same woman involved in a physical altercation with another woman, who had visible red marks on her neck, say police.

The suspect claimed that the victim had physically attacked her with a beer bottle, but an independent witness told officers on the scene of a different scenario.

The male witness said that he and the victim had been discussing a recent rash of mass destruction of property complaints at the apartment complex when the victim told him that she believed the suspect to be the culprit behind the attacks, at which time the suspect came upon them and began to engage in a verbal altercation with the victim.

The suspect then proceeded to throw coffee all over the victim, who then doused the suspect in beer, reports said.

She then struck the victim in the head with her coffee cup, breaking the handle in the process. She told police that the victim had begun hitting her about the head with a beer bottle.

The suspect was checked for injuries at the scene, medically cleared and arrested on charges of felonious assault and lodged, yet again, in the Genesee County Jail.
