Meadow Brook reprises Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’

ROCHESTER — Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley, Bob Crachit and Tiny Tim will once again win hearts of audiences on the Meadow Brook stage during the theatre’s annual performance of A Christmas Carol.

Stage presentations of the famous Charles Dickens’ short holiday story run now through Dec. 23. This is Meadow Brook’s 26th anniversary of presenting A Christmas Carol — the longest running holiday show in Michigan.

Tickets are $25-$40 and can be purchased by calling the Meadow Brook Box Office at 248-377-3300. For group sales call 248-370-3316. Tickets can also be obtained at ticketmaster locations or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

The unforgettable characters of this Christmas tale will take live form on the Meadow Brook stage under the familiar direction of Charles Nolte, with Peter Thomson reprising his role as Scrooge. A variety of veteran actors from around Michigan and neighboring states also will perform, including award winning actor Arthur J. Beer as the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. The cast also includes more than 24 child actors from around southeast Michigan, including Paige Marie Briggs from Lapeer. — K.S.
